Meet Sid, the web browser designed around the theme of simplicity. Sid takes the classic paradigms of the web browser and re-imagines them from the perspective of the contemporary tablet touchscreen. The result is a stylish and modern browser, well-suited to the next generation of web devices.
Sid’s key features include:
Simple and bold design: Sid’s buttons and icons are large and tappable, with animations being elegant and meaningful.
Multi-search engine: have access to a range of search engines in one place, and switch your search with a single tap.
Hidden URLs: web page addresses are hidden from user view, further simplifying the user experience (of course, users may enter URLs to load a page, and may copy URLs out if necessary).
Future expandability: in future updates, users will able to load modules specialised to particular tasks. These modules will be presented alongside the already loaded web pages along the left-hand side of the screen.
It is important to note that, in this first release, Sid is still in an experimental form. We would love to hear your feedback: what it does well, what could be improved, and any major issues you’ve had with it. Also, if you have any requests for future modules please let us know!
